Festival Coordinator of SIGHT+SOUND 12th Edition 2022, presented by Eastern Bloc
Since 2009, SIGHT+SOUND International Digital Art Festival seeks out the best, most provocative and outstanding works of digital art currently being made by international and local emerging artists. The festival has become a point of convergence for artists, activists, theorists, and technologists. It embraces the fringe of contemporary digital art and culture through installations, performances, workshops, interventions, and discussions. SIGHT+SOUND is seeing the unseen and hearing the unheard. It’s experiencing the indescribable. It is where contemporary digital art meets its critical agenda. It’s a festival that invites the possibility of social change through art, music, and all-night dancing.
Rain Beast - New Soundscape Music Release
Rain Beast is a collage of field recordings collected in New Brunswick and Montréal between 2018 and 2021. As part of a greater meditation on connecting technological mediums in artistic practice to notions of Anthropocene, this collection reflects upon the dissonances of nature and industry in the south of NB and some of the prominent soundmarks that relate to this theme.
WORKSHOP: Composing Music with Found Sound present by RPM Challenge and Lawnya Vawnya

Developing pieces of music with found sound is fun, inspiring, and can lead to unique results that define the character of your work. This workshop was designed to demonstrate a wide range of tools that can be used to record and process found sounds as well as to highlight music that has been created with these techniques.
